I paint with acrylics on watercolor paper, using the process of layering the paint and scratching back to reveal unique colors and textures in my paintings.
 
 Flying White Dove with Orbs ~ Each year in honor of International Day of Peace (Sept. 21st) I paint a white dove. It's a day is observed by people all over the world to encourage peace within and among nations.
 
In this new dove painting I decided to add orbs around the dove.  I love the idea of orbs, sometimes you’ll see them in photos. I imagined a world with orbs of different colors floating about as the dove flies through. It was fun to work on, I enjoyed putting in various orbs around the dove and throughout the sky. I kept in mind a lesson I’d learned from my art classes which was to make every part of the page interesting.
